Seth A. Cohen, MD, is a board-certified urologist with subspecialty certification in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery (FPMRS). His clinical focus is on complex pelvic floor reconstruction, including management of pelvic organ prolapse, genitourinary fistula, and mesh-related complications.
Dr. Cohen earned his Bachelor of Arts and medical degree from Northwestern University through the competitive Honors Program in Medical Education, which provided early acceptance into medical school. He completed his surgical internship at University of California, San Francisco, urology residency at UC San Diego, and advanced fellowship training in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive urology at UCLA.
He has contributed to a growing body of literature, publishing on topics such as urinary incontinence, surgical mesh complications, and innovations in medical education. His ongoing research supports a patient-centered, outcomes-driven approach to pelvic reconstruction.
In addition to his clinical and research work, Dr. Cohen plays an active role in training the next generation of urologists. He serves on the faculty of City of Hope’s Reconstructive Urology Fellowship, where he mentors fellows in advanced pelvic reconstruction techniques.
Dr. Cohen welcomes referrals for complex urologic reconstruction and is committed to multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
