Medical Oncologist and Hematologist
Lydia Chow, M.D., an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Medical Oncology & Therapeutics Research at City of Hope® West Covina, was drawn to cancer care during her undergraduate studies because of her interest in the science of oncology. As a clinical provider, she works closely with patients to support them from day one, acting as a champion and advocate as they navigate the health care system and their cancer treatment journey.
Dr. Chow earned her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. She then completed an internship and residency at the University of Southern California (USC), followed by a fellowship in hematology-oncology at USC’s Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, where she served as chief fellow and worked on several studies and clinical trials.
A board-certified internist, Dr. Chow is a co-author on multiple peer-reviewed articles on topics including castration-resistant prostate cancer and acute myeloid leukemia.
