Head and Neck Surgeon
Krupal Patel, M.D., M.Sc., is an assistant clinical professor in the Division of Head and Neck Surgery at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte and a board-certified otolaryngologist.
In the clinic, Dr. Patel works with head and neck cancer patients, as well as those with thyroid and parathyroid diseases. His expertise in a wide range of minimally invasive surgeries includes transoral robotic surgery and microvascular reconstructive surgery. He earned his medical degree at the University of Saskatchewan’s College of Medicine, then completed a residency and master’s degree in head and neck surgery at Western University in London, Ontario, and a fellowship in microvascular reconstructive surgery at The Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center. Dr. Patel is a member of multiple professional associations, including the American Head and Neck Society and the North American Skull Base Society.
Dr. Patel’s research includes projects focusing on head and neck cancer outcomes, virtual health, financial toxicity, and the development of genomic analysis biomarkers that can be used to predict the impact of therapeutic interventions on patients’ quality of life.
