About Me
Kevin McDonnell, M.D., Ph.D., specializes in medical oncology and clinical cancer genetics. Named a Top Cancer Doctor by Los Angeles Magazine, Dr. McDonnell brings more than two decades of expertise to his current role at City of Hope.

Dr. McDonnell earned his medical and doctoral degrees at Georgetown University. He completed his clinical training at the New York Presbyterian Hospital, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and University of Michigan. Dr. McDonnell joined City of Hope following eight years at Keck School of Medicine of USC and USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, where he focused on colon cancer, cancer genetics, functional genomics and personalized cancer medicine.

With numerous research projects and dozens of publications to his credit, Dr. McDonnell is excited to be part of the team at City of Hope, which he calls "a world-class cancer hospital and research institute."
