Jessie Miles, MMS, PA-C, joined City of Hope in Phoenix, Arizona, in April 2022. As an Intake Physician Assistant, Miles performs initial evaluations for new patients treating at City of Hope Phoenix and refers them to cancer experts for their personalized care plan.
Miles came to City of Hope with nearly 20 years of experience as a physician assistant, practicing since 2004 and certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She previously worked at City of Hope Phoenix from 2016 to 2017 and was excited to return to serve patients under the Mother Standard® of care model.
“I’m one of the first people new patients interact with,” she says. “I know how stressful it can be to come in for an initial consultation, but the team at City of Hope treats every patient with the utmost compassion, and I can see the difference it makes in the patients’ experience.”
Miles earned her Bachelor of Science from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona, in 1999 and began working at a tissue donor service in Phoenix, Arizona. In 2004, she completed her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona, with a focus in internal medicine and general surgery. Miles has more than a decade of experience in internal medicine and has practiced in a range of specialties before returning to City of Hope.
Outside of City of Hope, Miles enjoys spending time with her family, friends and church community. She also loves traveling with her husband and two sons and makes a point to stay active.
