A compassionate clinical provider with more than 20 years of experience, Jennifer Goodson, FNP-C, is a Nurse Practitioner in the intake department at City of Hope® Cancer Center Atlanta. Goodson provides primary care for many City of Hope patients, from helping them manage chronic health conditions and understanding test results and cancer diagnoses to educating them on the importance of screening.
Goodson received her undergraduate degree in nursing at the Medical College of Georgia in Athens, Georgia, before completing her training as a family medicine-focused nurse practitioner at Georgia State University in Atlanta. Specializing in emergency medicine and family medicine, Goodson is driven to provide compassionate care that treats patients as individuals with unique needs, health goals and preferences.
In addition to being certified as an advanced practice nurse and nurse practitioner in the state of Georgia, Goodson is registered to offer telehealth visits in Alabama, North Carolina and Florida. She is also a member of United Advanced Practice Registered Nurses of Georgia.
Outside of City of Hope, Goodson enjoys spending time with her husband and two children in their restored 1910 farmhouse, tending to the family’s menagerie of animals, which include dogs, goats, pigs, rabbits and birds.
