Driven by his compassion for those fighting cancer and devotion to precision, Faizi Jamal, M.D., is committed to providing the most optimal cardiovascular care for his patients. Before joining City of Hope, Dr. Jamal worked for five years at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. He received his medical degree from the University of California Irvine's School of Medicine and completed his residency and fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Dr. Jamal specializes in cardiovascular disease and cardiac imaging, and is an expert in managing heart failure, including cardiomyopathy associated with rare conditions such as cardiac amyloidosis and cardiovascular complications resulting from esoteric immunotherapies.
During his time at City of Hope, Dr. Jamal has brought about multiple advancements in the techniques used to visualize the heart's structure and function. His research focuses on earlier detection of cardiotoxicity and applying artificial intelligence algorithms to measure cardiac function.
