About Me

Esi Cudjoe, MSN, FNP-C, joined City of Hope in Atlanta, Georgia, in February 2022. As an Intake Nurse Practitioner, Cudjoe works with newly diagnosed patients and those in treatment to collect and summarize pertinent medical information, reviewing and collaborating with various cancer experts on their care team to identify imaging and other tests they may need.

Cudjoe has been practicing as a certified Family Nurse Practitioner since 2019, but her extensive nursing experience dates to 2007. Having previously worked as a Staff Nurse at City of Hope Atlanta while pursuing her Master of Science in Nursing, Cudjoe was excited to return to City of Hope in her new role.

“My passion for working with oncology patients was inspired by my time here at City of Hope as a staff nurse,” she says, “so I knew that I wanted to come back as a provider.”

Cudjoe has long recognized the importance of educating patients and their families on their disease and ways to manage, but she notes that it’s become even more important in her role as an Intake Nurse Practitioner.

“Since I’m often working with newly diagnosed patients, it is very important to empower them and their families with information and offer emotional support at such a difficult time,” she says. “My goal every day is to provide quality, holistic care and encouragement for those who need it most.”

Cudjoe earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Goshen College in Goshen, Indiana, in 2007 and began working as a staff nurse in the transplant unit at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. She relocated to the Atlanta area in 2010, nursing at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia, for three years before moving on to other nursing jobs at the Shepherd Center, Piedmont Hospital and Emory Midtown Hospital in Atlanta.

Cudjoe joined City of Hope Atlanta in 2016, and over the next three years, she earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, Tennessee. After completing her MSN, Cudjoe became a certified Family Nurse Practitioner, practicing at OrthoAtlanta before returning to City of Hope.

Outside of City of Hope, Cudjoe loves cooking, singing and spending time with loved ones. She particularly enjoys getting to travel and explore new places with her family.

Patient ratings
Star ratings and comments are only available for medical, radiation and gynecologic oncologists. Gynecologic surgical offerings are not included at this time due to a different survey tool required to evaluate these services. CTCA uses a validated Press Ganey® survey, which captures patient experience feedback for the primary oncology services of chemotherapy and radiation therapy at our comprehensive care and research centers. Following industry best practice, star ratings and comments are only published for physicians with a minimum of 30 completed patient surveys.
