Ernest Han, M.D., Ph.D., is associate professor and chief of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology, Department of Surgery, at City of Hope. He is an active physician-scientist who is dedicated to achieving the highest level of surgical cancer care through both open and minimally invasive techniques. His research focuses on developing advanced surgical technologies for the treatment of ovarian and other cancers.
One of his primary specialties is the use of imaging tools in the operating room to improve diagnostic evaluation of cancer during surgery. This may help to achieve the complete surgical removal of cancer. His research also focuses on advancing surgical outcomes and improving patient experiences related to cancer surgery.
Dr. Han serves as the program director for the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education-accredited gynecologic oncology fellowship. He is committed to educating and training our future gynecologic oncologists to provide comprehensive and compassionate care for women affected by gynecologic cancers.
