Dr. Cory Hugen, M.D. M.S., is a renowned urologic researcher and clinician. He has been the lead or co-investigator on dozens of clinical trials in addition to being a multi-decorated physician serving in the United States Air Force.

Dr. Hugen received medical training at Loyola University Chicago’s Stritch School of Medicine, where he also completed a residency in urology. He joined the U.S. Air Force and served as an attending urologist in San Antonio, Texas, as well as Bagram, Afghanistan.

Following his military service, Dr. Hugen completed a Society of Urologic Oncology fellowship at the University of Southern California as well as a master’s degree in clinical, biological, and translational investigations. Before joining City of Hope, he was an associate clinical professor and the Division Chief of Urologic Oncology at the University of California, Irvine.

Dr. Hugen has expertise in treating patients with bladder, kidney, testicular and penile cancers. He was drawn to City of Hope because of its singular focus on providing world-class cancer care. When not working with patients, Dr. Hugen enjoys attending his children’s school and sporting events, exercising, reading and traveling.
