About Me

Charles B. Nguyen, M.D. is a nationally recognized medical oncologist with interests in clinical trials, clinicogenomics, and genitourinary cancers. Dr. Nguyen’s clinical trial work includes the phase 2 FORTUNE study in non-clear cell kidney cancer. He has published widely in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Clinical Oncology Precision Oncology and Clinical Cancer Research. He has also presented his work at national conferences such as ASCO.

Dr. Nguyen most recently completed a hematology/oncology fellowship at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Prior to this, he obtained his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, followed by an internal medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine.

Earning extensive honors for his work, Dr. Nguyen was selected for the 2022 ASCO/AACR Methods in Clinical Cancer Research workshop and received the V.A. Outstanding Graduating Resident in Inpatient Medicine award. Additionally, he was awarded the Professional Educator Appreciation and Recognition (PEAR) Award and membership in the Gold Humanism Honor Society. Dr. Nguyen is fluent in Vietnamese.
