About Me

Radiation oncologist Boryana Eastman, M.D., Ph.D., approaches patient care as a true partnership. She walks patients through their options, assists them in choosing what is right for them, and supports them throughout treatment. She has wanted to become a physician since she was a child and enjoys spending time with and listening to the people in her care.

Dr. Eastman, who is fluent in Bulgarian, received her PhD at UC San Diego in Biomedical sciences, focusing on breast cancer metastases. She continued her training there as a physician and pursued an internship in internal medicine. During her residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of Washington, she became interested in the treatment of cancers that spread to the brain. In her clinical practice, she focuses on treating cancer while maintaining quality of life.

In her free time, she is an enthusiast for the outdoors and enjoys hiking, camping, and traveling. At home she loves cooking and trying new foods.

Patient ratings
Star ratings and comments are only available for medical, radiation and gynecologic oncologists. Gynecologic surgical offerings are not included at this time due to a different survey tool required to evaluate these services. CTCA uses a validated Press Ganey® survey, which captures patient experience feedback for the primary oncology services of chemotherapy and radiation therapy at our comprehensive care and research centers. Following industry best practice, star ratings and comments are only published for physicians with a minimum of 30 completed patient surveys.
