Radiation oncologist Boryana Eastman, M.D., Ph.D., approaches patient care as a true partnership. She walks patients through their options, assists them in choosing what is right for them, and supports them throughout treatment. She has wanted to become a physician since she was a child and enjoys spending time with and listening to the people in her care.
Dr. Eastman, who is fluent in Bulgarian, received her PhD at UC San Diego in Biomedical sciences, focusing on breast cancer metastases. She continued her training there as a physician and pursued an internship in internal medicine. During her residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of Washington, she became interested in the treatment of cancers that spread to the brain. In her clinical practice, she focuses on treating cancer while maintaining quality of life.Â
In her free time, she is an enthusiast for the outdoors and enjoys hiking, camping, and traveling. At home she loves cooking and trying new foods.Â
