About Me
"Dr. Kashyap was everything I'd hope my doctor would be ... courteous, understanding, respectful and truly showing an interest in my health."
Patients rave about Ashwin Kashyap, M.D., praising his skills and especially his compassion, which he says he learned from his own role model; a physician who treated him as a child: “His kindness and attention made a huge difference to both myself and subsequently all of my family,” he said. “I was inspired by him to pay it forward and do the same for others.”

Raised in the U.K., Dr. Kashyap received his medical degree at University College London where he also completed his internship. He served residencies at Australia’s Williamstown Hospital and New York’s University of Rochester, where he also completed fellowships in medical oncology and hematology.

Dr. Kashyap is pleased to return to City of Hope where he served for several years as a key member of the hematology and bone marrow transplantation team. He brings with him several years of specialized private sector experience developing and testing new cancer treatments. “City of Hope's altruistic, humanistic, compassionate and research-oriented philosophy is unique in this world,” he said,  “and very much in keeping with my own views on how health care should be run.”
Patient ratings
Star ratings and comments are only available for medical, radiation and gynecologic oncologists. Gynecologic surgical offerings are not included at this time due to a different survey tool required to evaluate these services. CTCA uses a validated Press Ganey® survey, which captures patient experience feedback for the primary oncology services of chemotherapy and radiation therapy at our comprehensive care and research centers. Following industry best practice, star ratings and comments are only published for physicians with a minimum of 30 completed patient surveys.
