Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) President of Medicine and Science, Dr. Maurie Markman, provided commentary, which was published by Medscape, on a report that appeared in JAMA in November 2021 entitled, “Trends in Obesity Prevalence Among Adults Aged 18 Through 25 Years, 1976-2018”. In this article Dr. Markman discussed how the report emphasizes a growing problem of increased risk for cancer in young adults due to obesity.
