Vilma S. Ritacca, a registered nurse at Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA), Chicago, in Zion, Ill., received the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses in recognition for her commitment and patient-centered approach to care. Ritacca plays an integral role on the Stem Cell Transplant and Cell Therapy Program at the comprehensive care and research center as a care manager working with patient’s post-stem cell transplant. She was nominated for the Daisy Award by one of her patients.
