Medical oncologists are utilizing an FDA-approved treatment called talimogene laherparepvec (T-VEC) therapy to fight melanoma.
Dr. Alan Tan applies T-VEC, an oncolytic virus, directly to melanoma lesions. The genetically modified herpes virus is used to infect the cancer cells and make it more recognizable to the immune system.
