About Me

In March 2019, Dr. Moti Salloum joined City of Hope in Phoenix, Arizona. As a hospitalist at City of Hope, Dr. Salloum evaluates and treats patients with various types and stages of cancer. His responsibilities in the inpatient department include coordinating patient care, implementing the treatment plan and monitoring progress.

Dr. Salloum collaborates with doctors and clinicians to provide patient-centered care. He closely evaluates and treats inpatients who are admitted to the hospital after surgeries or because of acute illness. He also manages medical issues that may accompany cancer and treatment recovery.

“My main goal is to help patients transition out of the hospital,” says Dr. Salloum. “I work closely with my patients and take as much time as needed to explain as much as possible. I hope to relieve stress or anxiety and help them have a positive experience while they are inpatients at the hospital.”

Dr. Salloum earned a medical degree from Damascus University School of Medicine in Damascus, Syria. He went on to complete a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in critical care at Damascus University Hospitals. In 1999, Dr. Salloum moved to the United States and completed a residency in internal medicine at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway, New York.

Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Salloum has practiced in a variety of health care settings. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians and American College of Physicians. For over 10 years, he has been a Clinical Assistant Professor at Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale, Arizona.

Outside City of Hope, Dr. Salloum enjoys spending time with his family and participates in variety of recreational activities, including volleyball.

Patient ratings
Star ratings and comments are only available for medical, radiation and gynecologic oncologists. Gynecologic surgical offerings are not included at this time due to a different survey tool required to evaluate these services. CTCA uses a validated Press Ganey® survey, which captures patient experience feedback for the primary oncology services of chemotherapy and radiation therapy at our comprehensive care and research centers. Following industry best practice, star ratings and comments are only published for physicians with a minimum of 30 completed patient surveys.
