Felisha Bartnicki joined City of Hope Chicago in April 2022 as a Physical Therapist in the oncology rehabilitation department. Bartnicki crafts individualized care for each patient, meeting with patients prior to their surgical procedures to create a plan, then working with them throughout their journey to promote functional mobility and strength with the goal of returning to independent movement.
Board-certified in orthopedics and myofascial trigger-point therapy, Bartnicki earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She began her practice in outpatient orthopedics in 2012 and later pursued post-doctoral education by completing her residency in orthopedic physical therapy with Evidence in Motion.
Before joining the team at City of Hope, Bartnicki worked in a variety of outpatient settings, taking on leadership and educational roles, including clinical instructor, continuing education instructor and symposium presenter. She found herself drawn to oncology after watching her mother fight cancer. This connection brought her to City of Hope, where she values the patient-first practice and Mother Standard® of care.
Outside of City of Hope, Bartnicki, a dog lover, believes that if you find something you love, get one in every color, so she and her husband have three Labrador retrievers—one each in black, yellow and chocolate.
